Mini art camps at Sensory Studio

Our Summer Sensory Mini Art Camps are the perfect blend of process art, sensory play, and hands-on fun.

Each camp is thoughtfully designed to spark imagination, encourage creativity, and give children the freedom to explore, create, and play in a welcoming, child-led environment.

During each camp, children will dive into themed art projects, sensory experiences, and open-ended invitations that inspire curiosity and creativity.

With small group sizes and plenty of time to create, children can fully immerse themselves in the experience while building confidence, fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and friendships along the way.

What to Expect

Expect hands-on fun, supportive staff, and a mix of structured activities and open play. This is a space where campers can move, make, imagine, and grow.

Sample Schedule

  • Campers ease into the day with light games, creative prompts, and a welcome circle to set the tone.

  • Guided outdoor activities and free play to stretch, move, and soak up some fresh air.

  • Focused time to work on art projects - sensory stations open for brain breaks and movement that is needed

  • We will review our day, play a group game, and connect as a group.

  • Pick up is between 12:25-12:35

Register

  • Our Summer Sensory Mini Art Camps are designed as an independent experience for children ages 4–10. A drop-off environment encourages children to build confidence, make new friends, practice problem-solving, and fully engage in the creative process on their own.

    To ensure a calm, supportive experience, camp enrollment is intentionally limited, and each camp is staffed by two teachers. This allows us to provide plenty of individual attention, support children as needed, and create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

    Our goal is for campers to feel empowered to explore, create, and play independently while knowing caring adults are nearby to guide and encourage them every step of the way.

    Please note: Children should be comfortable participating without a caregiver present for the duration of camp. If you're unsure whether your child is ready for a drop-off experience, we'd be happy to help you determine if camp is a good fit.

  • Yes! Please send your child with:

    A labeled water bottle
    A small, nut-free snack

    We'll provide all art materials, sensory play experiences, and supplies needed for camp. Since creativity can get a little messy, we also recommend dressing your child in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting paint or art materials on.

    Our camps go beyond traditional crafts by introducing children to a variety of artists, art styles, and creative mediums while keeping the focus on process over product. Rather than following step-by-step instructions to create identical projects, children are encouraged to experiment, make choices, solve problems, and express their own ideas.

    We also understand that children learn best when they can move, explore, and be themselves. That's why our camps blend art-making with sensory play, movement, and hands-on exploration, creating a relaxed environment where kids can truly enjoy the creative process.

    We love welcoming siblings into our camps and creating a space where brothers and sisters can explore, create, and make summer memories together.

  • Yes! We are a direct provider with Step Up for Students.

    Reserve your funds through the Step Up portal, and once your reservation is received, we'll reach out via email with instructions to complete your camp registration.
